A week to play.
A story to tell.
In 2026, The Betterment Foundation collaborated with Seattle Parks and Recreation and BASEGODS kickball organization on a week of high-energy kickball, creativity, and community for young people ages 9–13.
Campers practiced kicking, catching, throwing, and base running through skill-building stations, team challenges, and full-game play. Activities were designed to develop coordination, communication, and sportsmanship while giving campers room to shine.
Young people also explored the creative side of sports by capturing highlight moments, interviewing teammates, and helping document games. The week came together in an end-of-camp showcase that celebrated both on-field play and behind-the-scenes storytelling.

The Kickball Cup.
A field day for all.
The annual Kickball Cup brings a field-day experience to third- through fifth-grade students at The Meridian School, an independent elementary school.
Through kickball and shared play, the event creates space for students to connect with classmates, practice teamwork and sportsmanship, and celebrate the energy of their school community.
It’s a reminder that growth can begin with a simple invitation: get on the field, encourage your teammates, and enjoy the game together.
Good things happen when we show up.
