The Success Alignment Reflection
This informal activity explores preferences, work rhythms, symbolic perspectives, and personal definitions of success. It is not a validated psychological assessment, an official MBTI instrument, a Human Design chart, an astrology reading, a clinical tool, or a predictor of ability or achievement. The optional Sun-sign element does not affect pathway scores.
What stays on your device
Your reflection answers, pathway scores, next-step plan, personalized course options, and weekly completion marks remain in the current page’s memory. They are not sent with your newsletter signup. Reloading clears them. A downloaded results file stays wherever you save it and includes your private unsubscribe link. Course text and workbook downloads stay wherever you save them; course downloads do not include an email or unsubscribe link. Do not share that link.
What we save when you join
When an adult joins, The Betterment Foundation saves the normalized email address, registration status, signup time, consent text and version, confirmation that the adult consent box was checked, and signup source. The email is not yet verified. Signup also creates a private unsubscribe token; only a hash of that token is saved. A short-lived hourly hash derived from the request IP helps limit abusive signup attempts; the raw IP is not saved in the subscriber database.
Newsletter choice and delivery
Entering an email and agreeing to the newsletter are required to unlock these reflection results. Consent is not preselected. The newsletter will cover youth arts, sports, mentorship, foundation news, and ways to get involved. Registration is saved now; an email-sending service is not connected and newsletter delivery has not launched. No message is sent by this signup flow. Before newsletter delivery launches, sender details, email verification and unsubscribe handling will need to be configured.
Adults and young people
Newsletter signup is for adults 18 and older using their own email. A parent or guardian may complete signup to receive a young person’s reflection. We do not request a child’s name, email, birth date, birth time, school, or location. Please do not enter youth or sensitive personal information in free-text fields.
Storage and removal
The newsletter registration is stored in the foundation website’s hosted database while active. Your saved private unsubscribe link lets you remove your registration and related tokens. An unsubscribe action deletes the active subscriber record; routine infrastructure logs or backups may follow separate provider retention schedules. The site does not expose subscriber records through a public listing.
Your unsubscribe link
After signup, use “Save results & unsubscribe link” to retain your private removal link. It is also displayed with your results. A missing or lost link cannot be recovered through the current interface; keep a private copy. You can withdraw your consent immediately after viewing your results without losing a copy you already downloaded.

Hosting services process requests to operate this website. We have not added advertising trackers or sold newsletter registrations through this signup feature. This notice describes the implemented feature; it does not establish the foundation’s nonprofit or tax-exempt status.
